Our Services

Personal communication skills are the key to success.

Industrial Theatre is a tool that can be used in personal development, corporate training, business communications or management consultancy.

The Business of Acting brings hands on theatre techniques into a business environment—and every training programme is different. We create a safe playground where mistakes are allowed to be made, and laughter is part of the process. Our programmes allow people to play with the question What if?

So whether you have an assessment or development centre to run, an interactive workshop or a recruitment exercise to organise, The Business of Acting can help you.

Bespoke Role-Play Workshops

Role-playing is acting in character and having to make decisions within a simulated situation.

Acting is reacting, and a good actor can be anyone you want them to be. An experienced actor working in a role-play is able to maintain a consistency of character whilst displaying the range of emotions a scenario may require. Mistakes that are inevitably made while learning new skills can be made safely in a training environment and not in a commercial setting. Different approaches can also be tried to discover the best way of handling particular situations.

We can supply you with actors are who are ready to be your unhappy customers, under performing staff, uncooperative work colleagues and angry bosses!

Presentation Skills Training

The more you put into a presentation the more you will get out of it.

Participants carry out a number of different presentations which progress forward, using constructive feedback that builds confidence in a positive way. Video can be used in a relaxed and light-hearted atmosphere and assist in identifying both strengths and weaknesses.

  • Controlling nerves
  • Planning and preparation
  • Presentation types and styles
  • Managing difficult people
  • Formulating the message
  • Using non-verbal communication and body language

  • Closing a presentation
  • Connecting with the audience
Telephone Training

Clear and effective communication in English is our business.

Any person likely to speak to a customer in English should attend an English telephone training programme, particularly as that person will inevitably be put on the spot.

Through role-play and improvisation, participants develop their interpersonal skills and increase their ability to understand and process opportunity, giving an extremely professional image to the company.

Business Communication Training

It's not what you say it's how you say it.

Effective communication enables you to express yourself clearly, and to get along better with co-workers, clients, family, and friends. People buy people first.

Forum Theatre is interactive theatre written specifically for and about your business.

Performed by actors and presented by a facilitator, Forum Theatre encourages the audience to suggest changes, discuss possibilities, influence outcomes, and even take control by entering the scenes.
